         To celebrate the 55th Anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China, the Chinese Embassy held the "Turn Your Eyes to China" Pictures Show on September 22, 2004. The Chinese Ambassador H.E. Luo Xingwu and the Lord Mayor of Greater Amman Municipality jointly opened the show. More than 150 visitors attended the show opening ceremony including the Deputy Mayor of Amman, the General Director of Jordan Cultural Bureau. The more than 600 pictures exhibited drew great interest of guests. After the opening ceremony, guests were invited to watch a documentary entitled " Four Seasons in China" featuring the changes of the Chinese society.The Lord Mayor Mr. Nidal Hadid said to China's Xinghua News Agency that China's reform and opening policy has brought tangible benefits to the Chinese people and the exhibition demonstrated the fast development of China's economy and the friendly cooperation in the field of culture between the Chinese and the Jordanian people.
